It is very nice place to relax, and park is kept very clean.. The people at the front gate, are friendly and very helpful w/ information on camping and swimming here, and about going to other local and national federal parks.. I really enjoyed the peacefulness, of rhe park.. The restrooms w/showers, in the "camping areas", are surprisingly clean, and well stocked for a camping/lake park... Not really surprised, though, as friendly as the(she) gate/park-keeper is!!!
Pretty nice and quiet place to take a swim and a nice swim. Huge fish!! A great family place to take them on the spare time.
The lake is beautiful! The facilities are filthy and in need of repair.
A federal park and campground that shows its age and lacking much needed repairs.It's good for overnite stops.Very busy on weekends.
I enjoyed the park. The marina is in the park also. Very peaceful. The swimming area hasn't been open since the lake flooded a few years back but other than that it's a great lake for being close if you live in Ellis County. And there is good fishing.
